Day 1: Your Patagonian Adventure Starts
In the morning, you will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Punta Arenas and driven to EcoCamp Patagonia, located in the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park. On the way, we will make a stop in Puerto Natales, a small, lively town on the shores of "Seno de Ultima Esperanza," where we enjoy a hearty local lunch. The journey is scenic and highly atmospheric, featuring many wild birds and wonderful Patagonian landscapes. The day ends with our arrival and overnight stay at EcoCamp Patagonia, nestled in the heart of Torres del Paine National Park and with a prime view of the majestic Torres.
Day 2: Cycling through Lago Sarmiento, Laguna Azul & Cañadón Macho
After breakfast, we’ll start our biking adventure. The morning bike routine follows a 11 km. path through different small lakes, having the chance to observe Torres del Paine's flora and fauna in all of its splendor until we arrive to Sarmiento Lake, where we will rest at this lake's beach.
Afterward, we will take a transport toward Laguna Azul, where we'll have lunch and then follow a 14 km route following a single track through Cañadón Macho, finishing at a junction with the road near Cascada Paine.
Although this excursion is not too demanding, there are some sections of the trail that have some difficulty at the point where Cañadon Macho crosses a meadow and starts climbing, followed by an undulating stretch of descent, which is a little steep and rocky.
Day 3: Kayak on Grey River
After breakfast at EcoCamp, we will head off at 7:30 AM to the Serrano area in the western sector of the park arriving at around 9 AM at Serrano Base. From here, we will board another vehicle and head to the Pingo River where we will take part in a safety talk (20 minutes approx.). Afterwards, it’s time to get into the water! Once our kayaks are in, we will move gently with the river’s current towards the Grey Lake Peninsula to see the glacier’s impressive icebergs. After enjoying the moment, it’s time to continue down the Grey River for the next 3 hours. At Puente Grey, we’ll stop to eat our box lunch before continuing downstream to the confluence of the Grey and Serrano Rivers. Around 20 minutes later we’ll return to where our adventure started, at Villa Serrano, after an amazing day on the water. Then we take the van returning to EcoCamp for our evening aperitif and meal.
Day 4: Patagonia Horseback Riding
One of the best ways to immerse yourself in the spectacular scenery of Patagonia is to ride through it on horseback. After a hearty breakfast at EcoCamp, we’ll begin around 11:30 AM with an induction talk, before heading out on our 8 km journey.
As you ride along the deep blue shores of Lake Nordenskjöld, the expert baqueanos will help you learn how to ride. With the wind in your hair, the sounds of the lake, and the rhythm of the horse’s strong, sturdy movements, you’ll get a feel of Patagonia and its beginnings. Creating a genuine connection with nature, you’ll feel the powerfully pure joy of the moment.
Mount Almirante Nieto and its hanging glacier will hover in the skyline and you’ll appreciate numerous viewpoints and Patagonian flora as you cross pristine rivers and dense forests on horseback. We will venture into the Asencio Valley and cross the Asencio River, where you’ll be able to appreciate an ecotone – the intersection of two distinct ecosystems. The forest and the pampas transition into one another, uniquely blending together in the middle.
After a half day taking in the sights and sounds of the area, we will head back to EcoCamp around 2 PM to get some rest and enjoy a free evening.
Day 5: Towers Base Trek
After a hearty breakfast we set off from Ecocamp towards Hostería Las Torres and join the uphill path to Ascencio Valley on the Tower's eastern face. Dry mountain spots, beech forests and small rivers line the scenic walk towards the valley. Our big challenge comes as we climb the steep moraine, a mass of boulders leading us towards one of the world's most famous views overlooking the Towers. The famous Torres del Paine (2,850 m/ 9,350 ft) consist of three gigantic granite monoliths, the remains of a great cirque sheared away by the forces of glacial ice. After an uphill slog, the Towers eventually come into full view, rising majestically before us, with the glacial lake visible below. Is there any better place in the world to have lunch? After feasting on the view and our picnic, we backtrack along the same trail through Ascencio Valley and return to EcoCamp.
Day 6: Departure Day
We will board an early morning vehicle, sit back, relax and enjoy a scenic ride back to Punta Arenas or Puerto Natales on time to catch the evening flight to Santiago.

Room Types
Standard Dome
EcoCamp Standard domes were the world's first lodge accommodation in geodesic shape. They are resistant to the strong Patagonian winds, and come equipped with a double bed, cozy fleece blankets and feather quilts, and radiators. There are windows in the ceiling for stargazing. Standard domes include shared bathrooms which are large, comfortable and gender divided.
**Please note that Standard Domes do not have electricity but you can charge cameras and other devices in the Community Domes. They also do not have keys or locks to ensure the safety of those inside in the case of emergency. If you wish to have accommodation with private bathroom then we suggest upgrading to a Superior or Suite Dome.
Superior Dome
Spacious, comfortable and equipped with private bathrooms, Superior Domes are the optimum choice for trekkers wanting that bit more space and comfort at the end of a long day's walk. They are the perfect upgrade from a Standard Dome for those doing the 'W' trek and looking for heating, a private bathroom and a more spacious interior.
**Please note that electricity is very limited in Superior Domes meaning that hairdryers are not permitted but laptops and cameras can be charged.
